Hi, my name is Linda and these are my top tips for getting the very best from the hysterectomy association website. Below, you’ll find a list of things that you can do almost immediately as well as links to some more resources for information and help to make the best use of the facilities we have here on the website.
You can start getting your information needs met by signing up to get our free booklet and regular news updates.
The Hysterectomy Association website is divided into three distinct sections. You are currently on our main website, this contains all the information, our blog and our directory.
We also have an online shop and an excellent set of forums where women from all over the world talk to each other about their experiences.
On many pages you can leave comments or ask questions for others to read. If this is available on a page then when you scroll to the bottom you will see a form that asks for your name, your email address and your comment. Your email address is never displayed on the site. We recommend just leaving your first name when you make a comment. This is because they are all indexed by the search engines and it’s just possible that someone looking for you might it.
The Hysterectomy Shop is where you can buy all sorts of things from books, to DVD’s and support clothing. We accept payment online as well as payment by cheque (sterling only). If you would like to pay by cheque, just select that option when you get to the checkout and you will have an invoice you can print out and send to us with your payment.
Our forums are the place to meet other women who are all going through similar experiences to yourself. You don’t have to join but if you want to get involved in the conversation then you will need to create an account. You can find out more about our free and paid membership options here.
The forum FAQ’s will also answer any questions you have about how to use them.
I would recommend placing an order for 101 Handy Hints for a Happy Hysterectomy, as soon as possible, simply because this book is such a mine of practical information.
You might also like to consider joining us, as this is how you will meet lots of wonderful women, just like you, who are at various stages of their hysterectomy journeys. They will help you compare notes, share information, and provide tons of support just when you need it and are great at giving virtual hugs!.
Now, why not pour yourself a large glass of wine, a cup of tea or a coffee and stop by and share a cup of tea; then settle back and have a good read through all the information you will find on the website.
Finally, RELAX, and congratulations, you are doing wonderfully. You now have access to all the information you need and perhaps best of all, every time you want something else you can come back to us and find it, simply by clicking on that link in your favourites or bookmarks.
