The Hysterectomy Association is a social enterprise set up by Linda Parkinson-Hardman in 1997 with support from her husband John, to provide impartial, timely and appropriate information to women who were facing a hysterectomy. The biggest concern that the majority of women have is that they haven’t been given enough information to help them make an informed decision and unfortunately this position doesn’t seem to be changing much.

Over the years, The Hysterectomy Association has changed beyond all expectation and it is now achieving what it hoped to in the early days, simply because use of the Internet has grown so incredibly over the last few years. All of the information we produce is available on our website, we don’t produce printed leaflets to send out as we don’t have the income to be able to afford to do this type of work. We are a member of the NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) and are bound by their codes of conduct.

Our income comes solely from the money that our users pay for books and other products that we sell. If you have found us helpful at all then we would really appreciate it if you bought something from us or even sent a donation. You may wish to stock and sell our books yourself. We are always looking for help and we have listed a number of our own suggestions that may interest you, however, we are always willing to hear others if you have them. If you would like to find out more information about working with us then please do get in touch with us by email at info@hysterectomy-association.org.uk or by telephoning us on 0871 7811141.
