Accredited Local Contact Training Programme
Our Accredited Local Contact Training Programme for Local Contacts, will provide you with the skills and knowledge to run Preparing For Hysterectomy workshops in your area and also provide coffee shop meetings. Everyone that becomes accredited in this way will also be provided with business cards, posters and leaflets to distribute, we’ll also give you your own unique hysterectomy association email address too.
There are only TEN (10) places available on each training course and the next course will start in June 2008.
The training course lasts for seven weeks and costs £75.00 and each part is sent to you by email once a week.
Each week you will deal with a specific subject area and then be asked to answer questions that relate to that topic. There is no ‘right’ answer to these questions as such and they are designed to demonstrate that you understand the information you have been given.
There will also be a online seminar in each of the seven weeks that focusses on that weeks subject area, as well as getting the opportunity to ask questions about areas you find confusing or difficult.

Each course will also be given access to their own private forum where they can talk with their fellow students about their course work and their own experiences.
In order to be assessed as having completed the course satisfactorily, students must ‘attend’ at least 9 of the ten online seminars and must also complete the assessment questions satisfactorily within three months of starting the course - although it must be borne in mind that there is no ‘right’ answer as such, as the questions are designed to demonstrate understanding of the information given.
All course participants will be encouraged to continue their personal development into the future by attending some of the meetings and workshops we will be providing from later on in this year.
