A new trial has indicated that hormone replacement therapy supplements do not improve cognitive function in women with Alzheimers Disease.  Following the trial, no differences were found between two groups of women with mild to moderate Alzheimers given either conjugated oestrogens or placebos for one year. In fact about one third of both groups had worsened over the period.
